To create the pumpkin swing, each segment of the exterior must be carefully prepared before construction begins. Once this is done, the interior is laid out to seamlessly blend with the exterior and form a 3D object. The internal framework is built with stainless steel to prevent corrosion and provide long-lasting protection against the elements. The copper floor is then added, using the framework as a foundation, and windows are crafted to bring natural light into the piece. These features are among the finest details of the pumpkin swing. Once construction is complete, the finishing touches are applied, including the patina and other small details that make up the last 5% of the project but often require 20% of the time.

The stand can be supplied either freestanding with its own base or concreted into the ground to create a smaller ground surface footprint.
